School for Afar and Harar, Guji and Borana Oromo Children,Ethiopia

A large number of children are out of school in Afar, Harar, Guji and Borena areas in the Eastern and Southern part of Ethiopia. Only 30 percent of children are in school. About 18 percent of rural children are in schools. The extreme poverty among the community made the family unable to send them to school. Less than 50 percent of girls attend primary school. Hope 4 world children ensure that 17,000 children in Afar and 1,889 children in Harar will go to school. Hope 4 children address the critical needs of access to primary school for Afar, Harar, Guji and Borana Children.

We focus on areas with severe education needs, support alternative learning strategies including self-learning, early learning, and quality of education, including through access to learning spaces.
